JFE Network will be hosting a pitch event for startup founders and investors on April 26, 2012 6:00-9:30pm.
We received tremendous feedback and numerous applications for our last pitch. Due to a high volume of submissions, we are screening for startups that have a strong product, market need, and a sound revenue model. Above all, we care that the founder is passionate about his/her startup, is serious about seeking funding, and is looking to take the company to the next level.
Our judging panel for April 26th consists of an amazing group of investors and founders from:
Venrock Associates-Venrock, a compound of “Venture” and “Rockefeller”, is a pioneering venture capital firm formed in 1969 to build upon the successful investing activities of the Rockefeller family that began in the late 1930s.
At Venrock, Brian Ascher focuses on a broad range of Internet (both consumer and B2B) and Healthcare IT investments and currently serves on the Board of Directors of several private companies, including Vocera, Awarepoint, Retail Solutions, Inrix, and Billfloat. Past investments include ADiFY (acquired by Cox Enterprises), DATAllegro (acquired by Microsoft), Redbeacon (acquired by Home Depot), RelayHealth (acquired by McKesson) and Unicru (acquired by Kronos).
Brian has been named to the Forbes’ Midas List, which ranks the top venture capitalists in technology and life sciences, multiple times including the current edition.
Ooga Labs, a tech greenhouse, founded by Stan Chudnovsky.
Prior to Ooga Labs, Stan co-founded WonderHill, a social gaming company. With $50mil in revenues, WonderHill merged with Kabam, an interactive entertainment company. Prior to WonderHill, Stan spent 6-plus years and became a CEO at Tickle when it sold to Monster for over $100 million. Stan sits on the board of and is an investor in Branchout, Goodreads, Friend.ly, Pando Daily, and a few others.
Band of Angels-Silicon Valley’s oldest angel investor group. Ron Weissman heads the organization’s Software Special Interest Group and is also a Partner in Band of Angels’ Acorn Fund. Ron assists a number of venture capital and private equity firms including Greycroft, LLR Partners, Trident Capital and Apax Partners.
Ron is also on the board of numerous companies, including Chiliad and Attensity, executive Chairman of Host Analytics (SaaS-based CPM) and ofMarketBright (marketing automation via SaaS). He has recently been an advisor and/
or investor in a number of other early stage companies, including Allocade , Cataphora , Grid Agents,
Modius , Peoplechart,Practice Fusion, Ravenflow (natural language requirements documentation) and Sonim (handsets for the grey collar market).
Submission Criteria
We are currently accepting pitch submissions for 6 presenting companies.

All applications must be received by 6pm on April 17th to be considered for this pitch. You will receive an answer and further instructions from us by April 18th. If you are not selected to present, you will still be able to attend and register for the event. If you are selected to present, you will receive further instructions on how to prepare for the event.
